EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a structured, evidence-based therapy that helps the brain reprocess distressing memories so they no longer carry the same emotional charge. Using bilateral stimulation—typically guided eye movements, taps, or tones—EMDR allows clients to process traumatic or stuck experiences without needing to talk through every detail, often leading to relief that feels faster and more embodied than traditional talk therapy alone.
Michelle is a Level 2 EMDR Certified Practitioner (EMDRIA #100299600) with extensive experience using EMDR to treat PTSD and C-PTSD. She has additional training in polyvagal-informed EMDR, which integrates nervous system regulation into the reprocessing work, and she also draws on EMDR to help clients work through OCD, specific phobias, addiction, and creative blocks.
